Cheryl Sacks

Cheryl Sacks is the best-selling author of The Prayer Saturated Church (NavPress), a handbook for pastors and prayer leaders igniting prayer in thousands of churches worldwide. Her “Saturated” book series also includes Prayer Saturated Kids, Equipping and Empowering Children in Prayer (NavPress), and The Prayer Saturated Family, How to Change the Atmosphere in Your Home through Prayer (Chosen).  

Cheryl’s newest book, Fire on the Family Altar, Experience the Holy Spirit’s Power in Your Home (Destiny Image), is a prophetic word to the Church today and a handbook to equip families to invite the Holy Spirit’s power and presence into their homes. Co-written with her husband, Hal, their heart is to see Christians empowered by the Holy Spirit to ignite the spiritual awakening and revival fires He wants to bring to their homes and nation.

Cheryl loves children and young people and is passionate about seeing them equipped in prayer and anchored in God’s Word. In 2022, she launched a nationwide back-to-school prayer campaign, which includes a published prayer guide — Reclaim a Generation: 21 Days of Prayer for Schools (Prayershop.org), updated annually. This prayer guide is an urgent call for individuals and churches to pray for our children and their schools (K-University) and is being used in all 50 U.S. states.

Cheryl has worked in the marketplace as a public relations director, feature writer for the Associated Press, high school and community college teacher, and school administrator, and served as a guest lecturer at Southern Methodist University. She holds her master’s degree in journalism from the University of North Texas, Denton, TX.
