Join Us Today: 21 Days of Powerful Prayer to Transform Our Schools!
Will You Be Part of a Prayer Movement That Transforms Lives and Schools?
As we continue our 21-day back-to-school prayer campaign, we invite you to join us in a powerful movement that has already changed countless lives and schools.
Be Part of the Miraculous Results of Prayer
It has been our tradition for more than 25 years to mobilize prayer for our precious students at the beginning of every school year. This initiative began with a simple yet profound burden to see God transform our schools. Our commitment was born from the belief that prayer could break through the challenges and darkness our students face and usher in hope and renewal.
Our history of prayer has yielded miraculous results. Here's how it all started.
Years ago, as a young high school teacher in Texas, I saw firsthand how prayer transformed a school plagued by drugs, gangs, and absenteeism. In a moment of desperation, I began prayer-walking the four-block perimeter of the campus, pleading with God to intervene. Soon, other teachers joined me during lunch breaks, and we earnestly prayed for revival.
In a miraculous turn of events, I discovered a classroom set of The Cross and the Switchblade in our English Department storage room. This powerful story of gang leader Nicky Cruz, written by preacher David Wilkerson, captivated my students. We even showed the movie adaptation and invited Nicky Cruz himself to speak at our school assembly. Despite initial resistance from the administration, as this was a public high school, mind you, our prayers were answered. Nicky shared his testimony to 2,000 high schoolers, and the students were so moved that they gave him a standing ovation. Revival broke out at our school that day.
I will forever be convinced that no student, no school, is too broken to be transformed by God's power when His people pray!

Let's Pray:
- Dedication of Schools: Father in Heaven, today we dedicate all the schools in our state and nation to You. From pre-schools to high schools, vocational schools, colleges, universities, and all homeschools and private schools, we ask that You be Lord over every classroom and every student. May Your presence guide and bless these institutions.
- Invitation of God's Presence: Lord, we invite You and the power of Your Holy Spirit into every classroom in our state and nation. We open the door to Your transforming presence and ask that You make Your home in our schools, bringing Your guidance and wisdom to every student, teacher, and administrator.
- Incorporation of Truth and Righteousness: Heavenly Father, we welcome Your truth and righteousness into our school curriculums. May Your love and peace fill the atmosphere of our schools, creating an environment where Your principles are honored and upheld.
- Embrace of Biblical Values: Lord, we pray that our schools will embrace biblical values and operate on the principles of our constitution. May we protect the rights of the weak and the “least of these,” and ensure that freedom of speech and religion are upheld in our classrooms.
- Upholding Christian Students' Rights: Father, we ask that You ensure our teachers and administrators will be equitable, acting with integrity and fairness towards all students and colleagues, including those with Christian beliefs. We ask that there be no animosity or antagonism. We declare, in Jesus' name, that Your truth and principles will be respected and honored in every aspect of our educational system.
- Dedication of Educational Systems: We dedicate the State Department of Education, the State Board of Education, our County Education Agencies, and our district governing boards to You, Lord. Guide and direct these bodies to make godly decisions that impact our educational system.
- Blessing for Superintendents: Lord, we lift up our state superintendent and all district superintendents to You. Grant them Your wisdom and discernment as they lead and guide our schools this year.
- Opportunity for Salvation: Father God, we pray that every young person will have the opportunity to hear the message of Jesus Christ's love and salvation this school year. Open their hearts and minds to Your truth and grace.
- Commitment to Support: Lord, we commit to supporting our young people with fervent prayer and service. Enable us to ensure that all students have what they need to fulfill their God-given destinies. Make us a source of encouragement and strength for them throughout this school year.
Your prayers can make a difference. Together, let's make this school year one of hope, peace, and spiritual renewal.
Praying with you,
Cheryl
