‍

O Lord, our God, in great distress we call upon You, for You alone are our refuge and help in time of trouble (Psalm 46:1).
‍
We and our nation have sinned against You, O God.  We have been self-indulgent, seeking material wealth above all else.  We have disobeyed Your commandments and even opened the doors to blasphemy.  And now, because of our sins, the walls of our nation are down (Isaiah 5:5), and we are experiencing the curse of terrorism, which is threatening to ruin this and other countries.  We call upon You in this time of fear and peril.

‍Save us from our enemies (Psalm 44:7).  Let our supplications come before You.  Mercifully hear our prayers for the sake of the blood of Christ Jesus.

We call upon You to prevent terrorists from coming into power in our country.

Lord, have mercy, for You alone are our Help and our Salvation; You alone are almighty and powerful in heaven and on earth (Psalm 62: 6-7).

Lord Jesus, our mighty Victor, we plead with You to destroy the plans of our enemy according to the Scripture, that they will ‘take counsel together, but it will come to nothing.’ Frustrate the plans of the terrorists.

Lord, have mercy, for You alone are our Help and our Salvation; You alone are almighty and powerful in heaven and on earth (Psalm 62: 6-7).

We pray that further attempts at hostage-taking and assassination will fail.  Cover potential targets with Your blood and protect them from all attacks.

Frustrate the schemes of the terrorists. Create disunity and confusion among them.

Expose and avert all planned assaults.  Expose all explosives and other destructive devices and keep them from detonating.  Cause them to be discovered and safely defused.

Prevent the theft of weapons, bank robbery and internet fraud, extortion, and all that would assist or finance acts of violence planned by terrorists.

Prevent those bent on doing evil from infiltrating critical positions of influence in our nation.  Expose and remove all corruption and confusion that would delay the rooting out of terrorism.

Protect all those involved in the search for terrorists. Direct their steps and reveal the whereabouts of all those bent on doing evil.

Help judges and our legal system uphold justice, making them trustworthy to the fundamental principles of godly law and justice.

Lord, have mercy, for You alone are our Help and our Salvation; You alone are almighty and powerful in heaven and on earth (Psalms 62:6-7).

May Your enemies, Lord Jesus, be delivered from the destructive power of Satan and experience Your Holy Spirit to set free and transform.  We pray that You, Mighty God, would turn many a ‘Saul’ into a ‘Paul.’

We cry out to You in these critical times to awaken Your people, raising us from all apathy and false security in our nation.  Convict us of our sins, especially our rebelliousness, defiance, bitterness, and hatred, by which we have contributed to advancing terrorism.  Give us the gift of repentance, O Lord, so that our prayers will be heard from the depths of a humbled heart (2 Chronicles 7:14).

Call Christians everywhere to hear Your heart and pray so that You will listen to the effective and fervent prayers of the righteous and prevent disaster.
