Our schools, colleges, and universities are molding the belief system of our students, everything from self-image to religion, family and country.
BridgeBuilders invites you to set aside 21 days at the start of this new school year to pray specifically for the school or university that’s on your heart. It may be the school you attend, your child’s or grandchild’s school, or the one in your neighborhood.
Just imagine the impact this will have as you join thousands of parents, grandparents, teachers and students across the nation in prayerwalking and prayerdriving schools from kindergartens to colleges and universities.
Everything you need to get started is right here: prayer guides, tips for prayerwalking, and ways your family, church or small group can get involved. Of course you also can pray right from your own home.
Be sure to note our new College/University Prayer Guide this year. For our prayer leaders from outside Arizona, don’t miss the customizable prayer guides we’ve designed to make it easy for you to edit and distribute to your own state.
I still remember the first time I heard about what was really happening in our Arizona schools. I didn’t know that teachers used their own money to buy students essential clothing like underwear, or that schools didn’t have the resources to maintain buildings. I had no idea that teachers gave out canned goods on Fridays so that kids could eat over the weekend.
I didn’t know about the number of students who were homeless, struggling academically, overdosing on drugs, or attempting to take their own lives. Even the churches right next door to these schools knew nothing about what was going on inside those walls!
Use the following prayer guides to offer to others in your state. You may adapt them as needed. They are free to use and we encourage you to do so.
