President Donald Trump concludes his historic first foreign trip on Saturday. As the first family returns to the U.S., we ask you to pray for their safety and strength, as well as for the peace of Israel and our allies.

Many Christian leaders believe that now is a critical time for Christians to intercede in prayer for our commander in chief. This trip has been unprecedented, as the President boldly addressed issues of faith along with foreign policy in meetings with numerous world leaders in five countries.

Praise highlights of President Trump’s historic achievements on his first foreign tour:

  • President Trump became the first-ever President to visit the Middle East on his maiden foreign journey.
  • He had lunch with 50 Muslim leaders. In his address at the Arab Islamic American Summit in Saudi Arabia, the President urged “standing together against the murder of innocent Muslims, the oppression of women, the persecution of Jews, and the slaughter of Christians.”

  • President Trump made a stop at Jerusalem’s Western Wall — becoming the first sitting U.S. President to visit and pray at this holy site.

  • The President’s trip coincided with the 50th anniversary celebration of Jerusalem’s reunification. Addressing a special session of the Knesset on Jerusalem Day, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that he had been moved to see America’s leader visit the Western Wall.
  • He met with the Pope, after which the President declared, “Honor of a lifetime to meet His Holiness Pope Francis. I leave the Vatican more determined than ever to pursue PEACE in our world.”

Let’s Pray:

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:1-4)

  1. Pray that God continues to give our President wisdom and knowledge.

Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours? (2 Chronicles 1:1)

  1. Pray for health and safety for Donald Trump and his family.

So that they may offer sacrifices pleasing to the God of heaven and pray for the well-being of the king and his sons. (Ezra 6:10)

  1. Pray that America’s established relationships with our allies will continue to stay strong as President Trump stands firmly on the principles of faith.

For dominion belongs to the Lord, and He rules over the nations. (Psalm 22:28)

  1. Pray that God’s will would be done through Donald Trump.

In the Lord’s hand the king’s heart is a stream of water that He channels toward all who please Him. (Proverbs 21:1)
